My Counseling Philosophy
Zach’s approach has a foundation in relational Gestalt therapy. He works with individuals to become their true, authentic self. Facilitating an interaction that allows the individual to fully express him/herself, helping them to identify the reasons for their behaviors or thoughts, and the purpose these serve in their life.
This approach helps individuals fully express their emotional states, free of judgments, and fully supported within a caring, trusting relationship. Zach has a vision that everyone will find their true self and live a beautiful life they have always wanted.
Zach has been counseling since 2010. He started out in private practice while in school and continued for a short time after completing his Master’s degree. He has been a counselor in community mental health from 2012 – 2018 where he worked with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, and family therapy. Zach has experience working with anxiety, depression, interpersonal problems, addictions, and trauma. He has been trained in addictions counseling, trauma therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Psychodynamic therapy.
